AIDA Executive Officer Elections: 2026-2027 Mandate
In October, the AIDA Assembly concluded the voting session for three Executive Officer positions for the 2026-2027 mandate (23 out of the 41 full assembly members total voted). These newly elected officers will officially begin their term on 1 January 2026.

Below are the results for each position:
Saša Jeremić will continue in her role as AIDA President, following a first term marked by increased organizational stability and efforts to align AIDA with international sports institutions. Prior to her presidency, Saša served two terms as AIDA Treasurer and brings extensive experience as a freediving instructor, judge, and competition organizer. Her second term will continue to focus on strengthening AIDA’s global structure and expanding athlete support programs.
Catherine Crossland begins her second term as AIDA Technical Officer. Over the past two years, she has led an inclusive process to evolve AIDA’s Competition Rules, bringing in voices from athletes, judges, and medical and education committees. As Technical Officer, she continues to work on improving safety and fairness in competition while supporting the growing number of events and participants worldwide.
Amin Jadidi joins the Executive Committee as AIDA’s new Education Officer. A professional Instructor Trainer, member of the AIDA Education Committee and national team coach, Amin has contributed to revising course materials and supporting instructor development. He has certified over 1,000 students and more than 100 instructors, and has also served as a safety diver at several AIDA World Championships.
