AIDA is excited to announce that applications are now open for local collaborators interested in hosting the prestigious AIDA Pool and Depth World Championships for 2026 and 2027.

We are seeking proposals from event organizers around the world, ready to bring these high-level freediving competitions to their countries. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of the world’s leading freediving events and showcase your country as a top freediving destination.

What We Are Looking For:

Pool World Championships:

To host the AIDA Pool World Championships, applicants must provide:

• Photos of the selected pool that meet AIDA’s standards (as outlined in the attached guidebook).
• Proposed event dates, based on pool availability.
• Hotel proposals: including expected rates for rooms, meal plans, and conference room options.
• Estimated budget: covering all expected costs such as hotel accommodations, pool rental, safety team, and other logistical expenses.
• Event city information: detailing the best transportation options for participants and attendees to and within the city of the event.

Depth World Championships:

For the AIDA Depth World Championships, we are looking for proposals with the following:

• Dive location details: including weather conditions and depth capabilities.
• Proposed dates for the event.
• Competition setup and evacuation plan.
• Hotel proposals: including expected rates for rooms, meal plans, and conference room options.
• Estimated budget: covering all expected costs, including accommodations, setup, transportation, safety measures, and any other expected expenses.
• Event city information: detailing the best transportation options for participants and attendees to and within the city of the event.

AIDA encourages proposals from new and emerging freediving locations as well as experienced organizers in our global network.

Location Preferences:

• Pool World Championships 2026: Preferred location in Europe.
• Pool World Championships 2027: Preferred location in Asia or the Americas.
• Depth World Championships: AIDA is open to new locations with good potential in addition to collaborating with our usual experienced local organizers worldwide.
