Safety Qualifications:
Compeition safeties are experienced freediving instructors / instructor candidates who have done the AIDA Depth Competition Safety Course.
Safety plan:
Medical Team will have one doctor, two nurse and one EMT - all have experience being medics for depth / pool freediving competitions. Dedicated Safety Boat will be beside the Competition Setup. Competition Setup will be fixed 250m away from shore. Water traffic, escort for extraction will be provided by Philippine Coast Guard. In case of emergency extraction is needed there will be a medical vehicle setup at the PNP-Maritime Group Special Waterborne Operations School, in Mabini. 5.5km to Mabinn General Hospital, 15 km to Bauan Medical Hospital, 23km to St. Patricks Medical Hospital where there is a Decompression Chamber. Emergency vehicle is also available at the Lawom Center with with in case athletes need to be taken to the hospital for non urgent cases. AED and sonar setup available at the competition
